Sandkuhl Clay Works distributes a wide variety of masonry chimney products; these include: traditional square flue liners, a new variety of round liners, saddle thimbles and tees, flue offsets, refractory mortar, fresh air inlet kits, and hand made chimney tops. Sandkuhl’s round flue liners feature male-female recessed ends for ease of installation and a tight fitting joint between flues.
Sandkuhl’s chimney tops are hand-made and signed by skilled craftsmen. The tops come in a wide variety of styles, sizes, and finishes to accent any chimney construction style. Upon request Sandkuhl Clay Works will produce custom chimney tops and historic replicas in our mold shop.
Sandkuhl Wine Tile are made especially for wine cellar construction and are available in round or hexagon design (as shown). The hexagon tiles can be stacked quickly and easily forming a wall that does not require structural containment. Using Wine Tile for racking is a cost-effective wine storage method that has the added benefit of providing a large amount of thermal mass to moderate short-term temperature fluctuations within the cellar.
Sandkuhl Clay Works also manufactures a full line of clay partition tile for structural and non-structural applications. These blocks are available in a wide variety of sizes and configurations. The partition tiles feature dove-tailed grooves (optional) on all sides, which aid in secure adhesion of plaster. These tiles have been used in the restoration of the capital building in Madison, WI. Sandkuhl’s structural tiles meet ASTM standards C34 and C56.
All Sandkuhl materials meet ASTM standards and are designed to endure the freeze-thaw weathering conditions of America’s northern climate.
The products manufactured by Sandkuhl Clay Works have earned a reputation for premium quality that is ensured throughout the manufacturing process.
